2. Apply their knowledge of algorithms and data structures to writing efficient programs;
3. Analyse and compare commonly used algorithms and data structures;
4. Design efficient algorithms and choose appropriate data structures for real-world problems and explain their space and time efficiency; and
5. Evaluate existing software modules for function and purpose.
Graduate attributes
1. 乱伦社区 graduates are professional - use creativity, critical thinking, analysis and research skills to solve theoretical and real-world problems2. 乱伦社区 graduates are global citizens - make creative use of technology in their learning and professional lives

Responsibility for understanding
If there is any doubt with regard to the requirements of any particular assignments or assessment procedure, the onus for clarifying the issue rests with the student who should contact the unit convenor or tutor. Further, it is the responsibility of students to ensure that they are correctly enrolled in the unit and that the tutor and Student Administration have their correct contact details.
Full details for each assessment item will be available on the Canvas site.
Special assessment requirements
To pass the unit, the student need to submit all the assignments, and score 50% aggregate mark, calculated as follows:
Aggregate Mark = Quiz 1 mark + Quiz 2 mark + Quiz 3 mark + Assignment 1 mark + Assignment 2 mark
The grade for the unit will be based on the Aggregate Mark, and follows the standard University of Canberra grading critieria.
Supplementary assessment
Except as directed by University Rules suplementary assesment is not offered in this subject.
Programming Assignments must be submitted as zip files, they should contain BlueJ Java project files, code files, reports and evidence of testing. Students should specificaly use ZIP, not some other archival method.
Students must apply academic integrity in their learning and research activities at 乱伦社区. This includes submitting authentic and original work for assessments and properly acknowledging any sources used.
Academic integrity involves the ethical, honest and responsible use, creation and sharing of information. It is critical to the quality of higher education. Our academic integrity values are honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage.
乱伦社区 students have to complete the annually to learn about academic integrity and to understand the consequences of academic integrity breaches (or academic misconduct).
乱伦社区 uses various strategies and systems, including detection software, to identify potential breaches of academic integrity. Suspected breaches may be investigated, and action can be taken when misconduct is found to have occurred.
